Brahms: The Spring Event

Join your very own Sky Island Chamber Music Society on March 1st at 6:30 pm at Sierra Vista United Methodist Church at 3225 St. Andrews Dr. for a celebration of instruments beloved by beloved composers. Featuring the great Brahms piano quartet in c minor that kicked off our concert series eight years ago, the program also includes “Spiegel im Spiegel” by Arvo Pärt and “Smoke Rings” by Michael Ippolito. All these works illuminate the deep expressiveness of brilliant composers: at times giddy, at times grieving, they convey  and deepen our own experiences of love, sorrow, rapture, yearning, and, above all, the vitality of life and art.
